About Aditi Malhotra

After spending her undergrad years in Switzerland studying hospitality and tourism and training as a pastry chef under mentors including Pichet Ong and Christian Vautier, this French Culinary Institute graduate brings her skills to her new shop, Tache Artisan Chocolate.

Coming from a long line of restaurateurs, Aditi Malhotra was born with an extraordinary appreciation for the culinary arts. Her familyʼs history dates back to the 1964 Worldʼs Fair where her grandfather introduced Indian cuisine to America through his famed restaurant, Gaylord, a respected mainstay in Mumbai. On this side of the world, Malhotraʼs parents are the owners and operators of Akbar, one of the first widely accepted and successful Indian restaurants in New York City! After 30 successful years and two Akbar's in NYC, Aditi's family has since moved the restaurants to NJ and Long Island. In 2012, Malhotra spent several months training with Christian Vautier before opening her store, Christian Vautier Le Concept, in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Since stepping out on her own rebranding Christian Vautier Le Concept, as Tache Artisan Chocolate- we are sure this chocolatier will be taking the culinary world by storm!
