About Haleigh Palmer

“Life isn't as serious as the mind makes it out to be.”

Haleigh Palmer holds a Master's Degree in Rhetoric.  After years of teaching English at the University of New Mexico, she "retired" to Taos, New Mexico to pursue her passion for skiing.  Soon, and upon the birth of her son, she realized it was time to stop working three jobs and focus on one.  Thus, Golightly was born.  Haleigh's obsession with snow, color, and textiles culminated in the form of this little cashmere hat company.  Beginning with a small advertisement in The New Yorker magazine for the Cashmere Watchcap, the business has grown steadily now including a cadre of machine knitters and a line of cashmere accessories -- all made in the USA.
